Muse Hairdressing has announced the completion of a significant expansion, marking a major milestone for the award-winning salon as it continues to grow.
The expansion sees the salon extend into the space above its existing location, transforming it into a spacious, two-floor destination. A striking new spiral staircase now connects the floors, creating a seamless flow between the original salon and the newly developed upstairs area.
The new space offers a fresh environment for clients, with a beautiful interior and views across the market square, creating a luxurious salon experience. The expansion has also allowed Muse to double the size of their team, increasing capacity and allowing the business to welcome more clients than ever before.
Founder Lois Mant launched Muse Hairdressing in October 2020 alongside three long-time colleagues. Despite early challenges during lockdown, the salon quickly gained momentum and built a strong reputation, receiving both local and national awards recognising their achievements in sustainability, business performance, client experience and education.
As demand continued to grow, the need for more space became clear. “We weren’t ready to stand still,” says Lois. “We had growing demand from clients and talented stylists wanting to join the team.”
The expansion project itself presented a number of challenges, including limited historical building documentation and complex structural requirements. What was originally planned as a 12-week renovation developed into an 18-month transformation. But the salon, renowned for its eco-friendly ethos and wide range of services, is now fully up and running.
“We’re incredibly grateful to our clients who have supported us on this journey,” Lois adds.
With its continued investment in people, space and sustainability, Muse Hairdressing is set to remain a key part of Salisbury’s independent business community for years to come.
