Event one: Family Storytime and Puppet Workshop with Kristina Stephenson
Saturday 27 September 2025, 11am-12pm
To celebrate the release of her new book Perfect Harmony, Rocketship will host popular local illustrator and performer Kristina Stephenson for a lively storytime, hands-on fish puppet-making session and musical singalongs.
Kristina will appear in a designated section of the new Spitfire Cafe’s seating area within Cross Keys, creating a relaxed space for families to drop in and join the fun at any time.
The event is free and no booking is required. Kristina has performed extensively nationwide, worked with many local schools and brought her show to Salisbury Arts Centre last year.
Event two: Emma Carroll school events and public book signing
Monday 6 October 202, 5pm – 6pm
Celebrated middle-grade author Emma Carroll, widely known as the Queen of Historical Fiction, visits Salisbury for a day of school events to celebrate her latest novel, Dracula & Daughters. To round off the day, Emma will hold a public signing at Rocketship Bookshop at 5.00pm. Previous signings with Emma have drawn excellent turnouts and this is expected to be another popular appearance.
“We love bringing authors and illustrators to Salisbury,” said Jo Boyes from Rocketship Bookshop. “Kristina’s creative sessions are a treat for children, and Emma Carroll’s new book is sure to be a favourite with our readers. We can’t wait to welcome everyone along.”
